Staff said the school board reviewed and signed the agreement; the school system will pay 70 percent of officer costs when schools are in session and the city covers the remainder.

Marietta’s special call meeting opened with presentation and approval of a revised Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the School Resource Officer (SRO) program. A school‑system representative told council the school board had reviewed and signed the revised MOU at its prior meeting and that there were no changes from the version shown to council in the prior month.
