The Clay County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously Tuesday to adopt a countywide artificial intelligence policy that takes effect immediately.
County communications staff Mark, joined by Rory, told commissioners the policy is a three-page document with three principal policy bullets and supplemental guidelines. Mark said the policy prohibits entering private, confidential or criminal-justice data into public AI tools and makes the user responsible for verifying any data or results produced by AI systems.
