On Aug. 26 the Pulaski Board of Mayor and Aldermen voted to accept a comprehensive codification and revision of the municipal code on first reading and set a public hearing for Sept. 9.
City staff and consultants involved in the project โ including MTAS-related work referenced by staff โ said the codification compiles previously passed ordinances, updates language and cross-references Tennessee Code Annotated where appropriate.
Board members said the draft will be available in printed form at city offices and staff will make an electronic copy available for public review prior to the hearing. The board recorded a unanimous roll-call vote to advance the codification on first reading.
Next steps: staff will publish the draft and the required public-notice materials ahead of the Sept. 9 hearing; the board will consider final adoption after the hearing.
