The Ada County Board of Commissioners opened bids for Bid 25069, a procurement for Ada County Sheriff’s Office uniforms, and voted to table the award recommendation until the board’s Aug. 19 open business meeting.
Procurement staff read the two responses into the record during the board’s Aug. 12 session: Curtis Blue Line submitted a total vendor discount of $53,015 and Uniforms 2 Gears submitted a total vendor discount of $49,615.25. Procurement staff said the totals include manufacturer and alteration discounts; some optional items were excluded from the tabulation and will remain closed from the total bid amount.
The board’s decision to delay awarding the contract followed a request from procurement staff for additional time to compare the two bids in more detail. A motion to table Bid 25069 until the Aug. 19 open business meeting passed unanimously.
No award was made at the Aug. 12 meeting. Procurement staff said they will return with a recommendation at the Aug. 19 meeting after further review.
