Item 1-16 presented engineering contract supplements across multiple districts and the commission approved the recommended supplements.
Highlights included a first supplement for a Muskogee County bridge replacement (US-64B over Union Pacific Railroad) to add demolition and drainage mapping; a $2,500,000 supplement for owner's representative services on the US-70 replacement over Lake Texoma (Roosevelt Bridge) in Bryan and Marshall counties; a third supplement to Fries and Nichols for median improvements under Seachree Road on US-69 in Pittsburgh County ($44,900); and a $1,386,513 supplement for multiple bridge replacements and shoulder/geometric improvements on State Highway 3 in Pushmataha County handled by EST Incorporated.
Staff noted these supplements are linked to projects in the 8-year construction work plan with let dates ranging through federal fiscal years 2026—2030. The commission voted to approve the item by voice vote after a motion from Commissioner Dyson and a second from Commissioner Boswell.
The department indicated the Chandler city bridge over an unnamed creek (Lincoln County) was part of the bridge formula program previously approved by the commission on April 3, 2023.
