Commission staff said the file shows an application but not a completed approval. Commissioners discussed whether a tower currently occupies the Roach property near Second West and suggested staff inspect the site and check aerial or street-view imagery. The discussion included questions about the tower height listed in earlier materials (80 feet) and whether the current owner or a successor franchise agreement (CenturyLink, later Quest, now Lumen) applied.
No formal enforcement action or permit revocation was taken at the meeting. Commissioners directed staff to: (1) verify whether a tower structure exists at 1387 North Main, (2) check historical records and any franchise agreements tied to the site, and (3) return with recommended next steps if the structure was installed without required approvals.
Staff said they would do a site check and follow up at a future meeting.
