Pharr schedules July 24 open house for comprehensive plan update

The staff member said the event is the third round of community engagement for the city’s long-range master plan, which addresses economic development, land use, housing, transportation and open space. “We do have the consultants that will be here present at the event,” the staff member said, adding that various city departments will be available to answer questions.
The announcement gave the location as the Far DRC at 805 Wisticker Road and said the event will include interactive sessions and a raffle; the grand prize will be a barbecue pit. The staff member encouraged the public to attend and provide feedback to be incorporated into the plan.
No formal discussion or votes accompanied the announcement, which occurred near the end of the meeting.
