The Carbon County Prison Board heard its monthly work-release and in-house work-program reports and was told the program produced net income of $8,493.04 for the month.
The work-release coordinator reported the program consisted of seven inmates, with five currently on the program. The coordinator gave a line-item breakdown of the month’s receipts: $2,850 listed as "from aboard," $345 in court costs, $5,208.04 in inmate payments and $90 in escrow. The coordinator also presented the in-house work program report and offered to answer questions.
Commissioner Lukasiewicz said the board previously updated work-release fees and that the daily fee was raised from $20 to $25. No motion or vote was required on the report during the meeting.
Board members did not indicate further follow-up steps during the meeting.
