Board approves mini-storage and covered RV storage at 2100–2044 George Washington Memorial Highway

The York County Board of Supervisors on the evening of the meeting approved a proffer amendment and two special‑use permits that will allow a new single‑story mini‑storage facility and covered recreational‑vehicle (RV) storage at properties addressed as 2100 and 2044 George Washington Memorial Highway.

Planning staff described the application as a redevelopment of a longtime junkyard parcel into 11 mini‑storage buildings (about 105,000 square feet) and a covered RV storage area. Staff said the plan preserves a 35‑foot transitional buffer along the rear property line next to the Tab Lakes neighborhood, will rebuild an existing wooden fence, and requires a 20‑foot landscape yard and monument sign at the Route 17 frontage.
