Reading Area Community College seeks floodplain variance for Student Union renovation; board hears architects and engineers

Reading Area Community College presented Feb. 12 a request for a floodplain variance to renovate the Student Union at 25 South Front Street, proposing a predominantly second‑floor expansion, wet‑floodproofing and raising electrical and mechanical systems above the base flood elevation.
