Keizer board keeps current Keizer Rapids turf hours, clarifies paid-training rules

The Keizer Parks and Recreation Advisory Board on July 2025 voted to keep current closing hours for the Keizer Rapids Park artificial turf fields and to require reservations and insurance for paid training sessions.

Residents and neighborhood leaders urged the board to keep games ending at 09:00 and lights out by 09:30, saying later hours harm livability. Staff and field managers described recurring unpermitted training and said requiring reservations and liability insurance for paid instruction would protect the facility and public access.
