At the June 26 meeting, the Hideout Planning Commission moved several agenda items addressing development proposals to a date certain of July 17, 2025.
The items continued to July 17 included a conditional use permit request for small-lot development in the Mountain Residential zoning district (agenda item 2), a proposed amendment to the official Hideout zoning map for the Wild Forest/Wildhorse development (item 3), a proposed Master Development Agreement (MDA) for the Wildhorse development (item 4), a rezoning request for the Elkmont/Elkhorn Springs parcels to Neighborhood Mixed-Use/Residential/Natural Preservation zones (item 5), and a Master Development Agreement for Elkhorn Springs that would address, among other things, nightly rentals in zoning districts that do not currently allow them (item 6).
For the items the commission said the public hearing portion was open but no members of the public were present in the council chambers; staff offered remote participants the opportunity to speak but no electronic hands were raised. Commissioners made motions to move each item to July 17 and took voice or roll-call votes. Roll-call confirmations recorded multiple "yes" votes for each motion and the items were continued to the July 17 meeting.
The commission did not take final action on any of those items on June 26; each will return on July 17 for public hearings and possible recommendation to the Town Council. No substantive testimony from members of the public was provided on June 26 and no final land-use approvals or MDA adoptions were decided at this meeting.
