Bonita Terry, director of administration for the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, told the commission the county is certifying $1,200,000 in Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) funding into the law-enforcement fund and will allocate portions to listed communities while retaining an 18% administrative fee.
“...we have a JAG grant. We're certifying the funds of 1,200,000.0 in a law enforcement fund, and this will go to we have few communities listed that will receive funding ... as well as us receiving an 18% administration fee. That's 230,000,” Director Bonita Terry said on the record.
