Staff reported the May 22 budget‑workshop direction that prompted the subcommittees. The senior‑services subcommittee will work with staff to review the current master plan, identify updates to meet current community needs, and deliver recommendations to the full council by December 2025. Council moved and approved appointments for that subcommittee naming Council Member Ron and Council Member Stewart to serve. The wildfire mitigation ad hoc will develop and implement a work plan related to wildfire strategies and a CWPP; the council appointed the mayor and Council Member Ron to that panel. The council approved the creation of both subcommittees and the appointments by a unanimous 5-0 vote.
