Toledo public utilities leaders outline multiple maintenance projects, request spending authority

Doug Stevens, director of Public Utilities, and department commissioners presented a package of maintenance and capital requests to the Toledo City Council during the May 27 agenda review. The items included a matching grant application to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to rebuild three belt filter presses at a water reclamation facility, a $350,000 hydrant replacement program, and multiple appropriations for pumps, motors and spare parts at the Collins Park and Bayview water facilities.
