Secondary roads update: Voss Quarry Bridge progress and rock hauling status

Jeremy Abbas, assistant to the Wright County engineer, provided the board with a secondary roads update on June 2, reporting progress on a year‑two rock hauling program and work at the Voss Quarry Bridge.
Abbas said trucks have hauled 9,754 tons of rock and that 53 of 88 miles of the year‑two program had been completed. He said 15 work orders were completed the prior week. At the Voss Quarry Bridge, both rails have been poured and wing extensions were being finished; the guardrail metal and concrete bridge approaches were scheduled to be installed by the contractor and subcontractors.
Abbas said the contractor will complete backfill, grading in the ditches and bridge approaches, and that concrete would be used for approaches. He also noted work on shoulders and agreements with landowners to obtain material to bring up certain road sections.
No board action was taken; the update was informational.
