Wright County attorney requests office manager pay raise; supervisors table decision to June 16

Wright County Attorney Eric Simonson asked the Board of Supervisors on June 2 to increase his office manager’s salary to $60,000 from $48,002.96, saying the employee has worked for the county for more than 25 years and is “vastly underpaid” compared with counterparts. Supervisors did not act on the request and instead voted to table it until the board’s June 16 meeting so Simonson could confirm whether his office budget could support the increase.
