Grayson County Commissioners Court approved multiple routine actions on Tuesday, including authorization of payments, budget-neutral salary-order amendments, an equipment purchase for Road and Bridge and several interlocal agreements.
The court approved payment of bills listed for June 10, 2025, and specific vendor payments noted on the agenda: $76,230 to the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool for third-quarter workers' compensation, $92,238.33 to Freedom Chrysler (transport), and $123,000 to Kirby-Smith Machinery for a 2017 Hamm HD121 double roller for Precinct 4. A motion to pay the bills was made by Commissioner Arthur and seconded by Commissioner Hardenberg and carried by voice vote.
Other items the court approved:
- A budget-neutral amendment to the fiscal 2025 salary order for the Criminal District Attorney’s office, presented by John Kermit Hill, Criminal District Attorney, to cover employee evaluations and to set aside additional salary range for a final felony prosecutor position. The motion to approve was made by Commissioner Arthur and seconded by Commissioner Marr; the motion carried.
- A budget-neutral amendment to the fiscal 2025 salary order for Elections Administration, presented by Miss Phillips, to hire a deputy clerk with previous elections experience using unexpended part-time funds. Commissioner Wright moved to approve; Commissioner Moore seconded. The court approved the amendment.
- Authorization to purchase a Terex CMI RS425B soil stabilizer (listed as a soil stabilizer/road grinder) for Road and Bridge Precinct 1 at $49,500. The purchase was approved on a motion by Commissioner Marsh, seconded by Commissioner Arthur.
- Approval of Resolution No. 2025-036 in accordance with Texas Government Code §791.014 for interlocal contract agreements, and approval of Interlocal Agreement No. 2025-003 between Grayson County and the City of Collinsville for road improvements in Precinct 3. Both were approved by voice vote.
- Approval of the short plat for 4 Oaks Bed and Breakfast in Precinct 4, a two-lot subdivision north of Wattsboro off U.S. 377 and Chisholm Road. The court found the subdivision complies with county regulations and approved it on a motion by Commissioner Hardenberg, seconded by Commissioner Arthur.
The consent agenda and the minutes for June 3, 2025, were approved earlier in the session. The court recessed to an executive session under Texas Government Code §551.071; upon return the court reported no action necessary and adjourned at 10:48 a.m.
