ODOT approves ITS and vessel-impact engineering contracts and two engineering supplements

Item 82: Engineering contracts - Part (a): The commission approved a $500,000 statewide on-demand contract for ITS and fiber-optic design and installation services. ODOT selected two firms, Half Associates and Olsen, to provide on-call services. - Part (b): The commission approved a $2,500,000 contract in Districts 1 and 8 to fund vessel impact studies for bridges along the MCARNS; Consort Engineers was selected to update a study last performed about two decades ago.
Item 83: Engineering contract supplements - Part (a) (District 1, Okmulgee County): A supplement of $38,100 for additional engineering services on U.S. 75 (US 62 to State Highway 56) with CEC Corporation. The total contract cost including the supplement is $919,435. - Part (b) (District 3, Blanchard): A supplement of $147,447 for work on State Highway 76 (US 62 north 2.5 miles), with Hudson Prince Engineering and Inspection. The total contract cost including the supplement is $1,236,304.
ODOT staff recommended approval of the contracts and supplements and commissioners approved the items without extended discussion.
Ending: ODOT staff said they are available to answer technical questions and will proceed with contract execution and project delivery according to the approved supplements and on-call agreements.
