Council approves multiple advisory-board appointments; terms through 2028

The Garner Town Council unanimously approved a slate of volunteer appointments to advisory bodies, acting on recommendations from the human resources committee.
The appointments (three-year terms ending June 30, 2028) approved by voice vote included: Amanda McCloskey, Arthur Day and Cameron Hayes to the Parks and Recreation & Cultural Resources Advisory Board; Herbetina Johnson and Carla Adams to the Senior Advisory Committee; and Steve Revelle and Russell Kessler to the Veterans Advisory Committee.
Human resources committee members and staff who conducted interviews were thanked in council remarks. Appointees present at the meeting were acknowledged from the dais; council proceeded with a voice vote and recorded the appointments as passed unanimously.
Councilmembers and staff asked volunteers to be prepared to participate in upcoming meetings of their respective advisory bodies.
