She told commissioners three leased trucks will reach the end of their terms (one in September and two in March) and provided an estimated replacement cost of $134,777 for the three vehicles; she said she did not intend to outfit the vehicles beyond basic departmental needs. Monique also requested a small increase (about $15,000 total spread across positions) to absorb environmental casework moved from Precinct 3 into her department’s operations.
Monique said the net operating increase excluding trucks is $17,039 and asked whether the county should proceed now with office and fleet replacements if funds and procurement schedules require near‑term action. She said facilities and purchasing staff were consulted and that she would coordinate timing if the court wants to replace the vehicles before their lease expirations.
No formal procurement motion was recorded at the meeting; staff said vehicle replacements and the TLO contract will be brought back through the county procurement process.
