The Nye County Board of County Commissioners on May 20 approved a set of contracts, appointments and interlocal agreements and set hearings on several ordinance items. Highlights: the board ratified seven public defender contracts, approved a memorandum of agreement with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the 287(g) warrant program, affirmed the Pahrump Regional Planning Commission's denial of an off-premise billboard appeal and approved a temporary 90‑day liquor license for a Pahrump bar.
