Harris County authorizes five-year, annually reviewed Diwali fireworks sales window

After community testimony and a safety review, the Commissioners Court authorized annual permits allowing sales of consumer fireworks during the statutory Diwali season through Dec. 30, 2030, subject to annual review by the Fire Marshal and the court's unilateral authority to modify or revoke the authorization.
