Warden reports declines in monthly jail census; work-release program netted $7,123.33

"As far as releases, we had 57 male releases, 15 female releases for a total of 72. The population as of the June was 128 total inmates. That was a 107 males and 21 females," the Warden said. The Warden reported an average population for the quarter of 141 inmates and a year-to-date total of 443 admissions.
Medical and transport activity for the month included six transports: two to orthopedics, three to specialists, and one to a cardiologist; no hospital stays were reported.
Work release staff (Speaker 2) reported the work-release program had consisted of five inmates during the month and had three inmates currently on the program. Net income for the month was $7,123.33, with a breakdown provided in the report: room and board $1,925.00; core cost $275.00; inmate payments $4,823.33; and an escrow deposit of $100.00.
A motion to approve the warden's report was moved and seconded; the board voted "Aye" and the motion carried. No further action was recorded.
