Cole County Assessor Mark Luther told the commission in the July 15 meeting that he will step down effective Aug. 1, 2025. Commissioners said they received a copy of a resignation letter, and one commissioner said the letter was filed with the county clerk "per statute" and was visible on the governor’s website.
