Doctor Purkel, a district staff member, presented the 2025-26 Saint Mary Parish Pupil Progression Plan and told the board the document reflects the Louisiana Department of Education's updated template and recent statewide guidance. "Each year, the state department gives us a new template that we are required to use," Purkel said, and he added that local policy language remains unchanged except where the state template required additions.
