Auditor: FY24 report largely clean after software conversion issues

Houston said the audit followed procedures prescribed by the state auditor's office and included routine compliance checks. He said the software conversion introduced challenges but that the audit team, city staff and the vendor identified the issues and corrected them. "I don't think I've ever been around any kind of software conversion that's gone particularly smoothly," Houston said during his presentation.
Houston told the council the software-related matters were resolved, corrections were made and the audit team had "no concerns, no big issues" remaining. He said the audit otherwise reflected typical federal and state compliance reviews and routine accounting checks.
