Marion County recognizes jail nursing staff with separate Nurses Appreciation Week proclamation

Jacob Ramsey, representing the Marion County Sheriff's Office, requested the board approve a proclamation recognizing Nurses Appreciation Week specifically for the Marion County Jail's nursing staff. Ramsey noted that Cindy Gage, a registered nurse with the sheriff's office, has served "21 years" and praised the life-saving work performed by jail nurses, including recent emergency responses to overdoses during inmate transport.
