Intermediate school project: drawings submitted; bids expected and GMP planned within weeks

Contractor CR Crawford confirmed the district issued the project to bid last week and that pricing responses are expected in the coming week. Administration said it hopes to have a finalized guaranteed maximum price (GMP) by the end of next week and will bring the GMP to the board for approval so the district can sign contracts and begin permitting and work.
Why it matters: Finalizing the GMP and obtaining permits will allow the district to start construction activities and schedule work for the 2025 summer season.
What officials said: A CR Crawford representative said the firm is honored to provide the planned space for the district and congratulated staff on Teacher Appreciation Week. District administration noted the project has taken longer than hoped but said the team is working to keep schedule and costs aligned.
Next steps: Administration will return with the GMP for board approval (the superintendent asked whether a special meeting could be arranged for timely consideration) and will proceed with permitting once the GMP and contract are approved.
