Andy Flagg, identified in the meeting record as an IT director, asked Wright County supervisors to sign a petition developed by multiple county IT directors that raises concerns with the Harris Local Government Solutions contract for fiscal year 2025–26. Flagg said several counties have experienced support problems and contract ambiguities since Harris acquired Solutions, and the petition lists errors and ambiguous terms the counties want corrected.
Flagg requested the board authorize his action and add Wright County’s signature to the petition so it can be sent collectively to Harris. Supervisors voted in favor of assigning the petition to Wright County and asked Flagg to provide a copy with signature lines and dates. Flagg agreed to bring a finalized copy to the end of the meeting for signatures.
Supervisors and staff noted the Solutions software supports critical county functions across departments—including the auditor, assessor, treasurer and engineer’s offices—and that contract clarity and vendor support affect county operations such as accounting and property tax processing.
Motion to assign the petition to Wright County carried with all ayes recorded. Flagg and county IT staff will continue contract negotiations with Harris and will deliver a petition document for supervisor signatures.
