Commissioners reviewed a draft master road plan on May 1 and provided direction to add logical through streets and to expand the roadmap's coverage on the west side of the freeway, especially in the South Willow and Larkins areas.
The staff presenter said the map is intended as a starter to show future through streets that would reduce reliance on the highway and provide alternative connectors. Commissioners suggested adding more collector routes and bringing a more detailed map back for public review similar to the process used for the South Wheeler zoning outreach.
Staff said they would continue to refine the map, add additional street labels and granularity where appropriate, and circulate a near-final version for public input and a public hearing before adoption.
