The Davis County Library Board on Aug. 14 approved a set of routine financial and administrative items and authorized a three-year addendum to the library's vendor contract to restore text-message notifications for patrons.
Board Vice Chair Ryan Nelson opened the meeting and the board approved minutes from June 12 and June 23 and ratified May and June 2025 expenditures. Josh Johnson, the library director, briefed the board on routine budget adjustments and said staff had not identified any major problems with spending. "We are spending the money very well," Johnson said.
The board also ratified the library's quarterly donations. Johnson told the board the county changed its donation-recording policy so the library now records and routes all donations, including those under $50, through county processes. Board members discussed longstanding…
