Community development routes EarthRoamer special-event application; public comments received

Rebecca Everett, Larimer County’s Community Development Director, told the board at its Aug. 4 work session that the department received an application for a special event from EarthRoamer near Estes Park and has routed the application to reviewing agencies.
Everett said postcards were mailed to adjacent property owners and that staff had begun to receive public comments. She asked commissioners to direct any constituent comments to her office; once agency reviews and public comments are complete, staff will make a decision on the special event application and present findings according to standard review procedures.
No decision was made at the Aug. 4 meeting. Everett said staff will continue review and notify the board when a decision is ready for action or public hearing.
