Maddie described the program as prevention-focused and said it uses a SAFE framework—“specific, approachable, acknowledging feelings, and empowering”—to help adults create safe spaces for youth to disclose and heal. She said CAPSA provides confidential support, legal advocacy and trauma-informed care and asked the community to help spread awareness and support the program.
Maddie invited council members and the public to attend a Shame Free Conversations session on Wednesday, April 23, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Logan Library and said more information is available at capsa.org (education section). She also left awareness pins for the council to distribute.
Council members asked for the direct web link and the representative said she would email it to the town clerk. No formal action was taken; the presentation was informational.
