Supervisors approved creation of an Infrastructure Financing District including Pier 70’s historic core, and added language urging formation of a Community Facilities District to ensure maintenance costs are borne by development rather than the general fund.

The Board of Supervisors convened as a committee of the whole Feb. 23 and approved measures to create an Infrastructure Financing District (IFD) for Port of San Francisco redevelopment, including subproject area G-1 covering Pier 70’s historic core.
