Students, staff showcase classroom work; board hears enrollment uptick

In a separate report, district staff reported enrollment as of the prior Friday at 4,203 students, an increase of six from the prior month and 49 students above the first day of the school year. Staff noted the district was tracking new transitional-kindergarten (TK) enrollments for the 2025–26 school year, and that current packet-in/out tracking suggested TK and kindergarten numbers could shift before the next school year. The staff presentation said the district has 18 weeks until the first day of school and provided an example projection of about 270 new enrollments if the district averaged 15 new students per week.
Trustees and administrators said they will discuss construction updates at future meetings tied to the TK expansion projects approved by the board earlier in the agenda.
