Committee advances AB 1249 to require minimum early voting Saturday in non‑VCA counties
AB 1249, authored by Assemblymember Wilson and sponsored by the Secretary of State, would require counties that do not participate in the Voter's Choice Act to offer at least one Saturday early voting location open eight hours before statewide elections. The committee passed the bill with technical amendments and sent it to appropriations.
