Senator Mann introduced Senate File 509 on April 9, a bill intended to change licensing requirements for physicians who practiced medicine internationally so they can reenter medical practice in Minnesota without repeating a full residency. "When you arrive in Minnesota, you are not allowed to practice medicine again until you essentially redo all of your training," Senator Mann said, describing the bill as removing an unnecessary barrier for competent, experienced physicians.
