Mayor John Whitmire and the Houston City Council on April 6 proclaimed April 6–12, 2025, as National Crime Victims’ Rights Week in Houston. Vice Mayor Pro Tem Jessica Peck read the proclamation and introduced Andy Conn, director of victim services at Crime Stoppers of Houston, who accepted the recognition on behalf of local organizations.
