District reports back-to-school preparations and a multi-session professional development day

Chief business and operations staff and district administrators provided updates ahead of the school year, reporting that the district is closing fiscal-year accounts, monitoring fall enrollments and preparing sites for the first day of school.

Lisa Davis (finance) said the district will publish un-audited actuals next month and will provide weekly enrollment reports during the first three to four weeks of school to track who actually shows up versus initial sign-ups. Davis also said site operations, food services and technology teams are preparing for distribution of student laptops and first-day logistics.

Human-resources and staffing updates reported active summer recruiting and multiple new hires, with district HR and certificated/classified staff returning for recognition. The district described the nursing team’s readiness to support students with medical needs.

Assistant Superintendent (name given as a speaker in the transcript) described a full professional development day that offered roughly 36 sessions, many presented by district staff.
