He said the team was scheduled to play Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Big House and that the school plans a fan bus and student travel; details on signups and any donation requests will be provided by the school.
Eustace described additional student achievements: junior‑high and high‑school powerlifters advancing to state meets, 16 archers qualifying for national competition in April, and other spring sports activity including baseball and track meets.
On admissions, Eustace said new‑student applications and returning‑student forms are active. He said an eighth‑grade recruitment day drew 352 students for roughly 90 available spots. Eustace said a leadership committee will review application packets and make placement decisions; any appeals would then go to administration. To reduce late uncertainty, he said families should expect final placement notifications by about June 15 so parents can make alternate plans if needed. He also reminded councilors that Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) protections restrict access to some application materials, so councilors with constituent questions should route them to school staff.
Eustace thanked councilors for approving a recent board appointment (Sheryl Rountree) and praised community support for regionals and hospitality efforts.
He closed by inviting councilors to contact him with school concerns and by noting that spring and winter sports schedules overlap ahead of spring break.
