The Albert Lea Public School District school board approved the meeting agenda, accepted a list of donor gifts for August and approved consent items during the meeting.
Staff presented the donations report. Donations included a $3,000 gift from Compier Financial for agricultural education classroom supplies; a $500 donation through Freeborn Mower Operation Roundup (Amber Jensen) to Sibley; multiple athletic donations from Cargill supporting boys soccer, boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, boys golf and cheer; a Wrestling Booster Club donation toward the new mascot; a $28 gift from a Blackbaud Giving Fund to Brookside Early Learning Classroom special education; a SHIP grant to fund two pedestrian LED lights to be installed at Albert Lea High School; and a scholarship donation from Susan Mason to the high school.
A motion to accept the donations and to approve the consent agenda was made and approved by the board. The chair called for a voice vote on the donations motion and declared the motion carried. Later the board approved consent items; the clerk recorded the consent vote as seven-zero.

Board members had no additional questions about the donations report. Staff said September donations will be reported after the month close. The board moved on to the facility study presentation and the levy items that followed.
