Committee advances workers’ compensation bill to prevent bid disqualification based solely on experience modifier

The committee approved an amended House Bill 1214 that prevents public and private bid specifications from disallowing a bid solely because an employer’s workers’ compensation experience modification rate exceeds a threshold; the bill also leaves other contracting discretion intact.
