Sen. Antonio Hayes sponsored SB 830 to modernize access to workers' compensation claim records through the commission's comp hub. The bill clarifies that a claimant's written authorization at filing may allow attorneys, employers, insurers and state agencies (including the Uninsured Employers Fund and Subsequent Injury Fund) to access claim‑related records held by the commission and keeps an authorization valid for one year from filing.
