New village mapped; county receives school district code and notes about parcel build-out

County mapping staff reported at the Management & Budget Committee meeting on March 13 that the new village has been mapped and that the county received a school district code for "Livingston Manor — Roscoe Central School District." The map and code will require coordination with the state and five towns to integrate the code into local systems.

A county speaker, Chris (mapping staff), said there are about 60 tax parcels in the village area — not all parcels contain houses — and noted the possibility of larger parcels being subdivided. Chris described a subdivision under review before incorporation that proposed 27 lots, with plans for multilevel condominiums on those lots (potentially two units per parcel), which could increase housing units beyond the current parcel count.

Committee members asked about water and infrastructure; Chris noted an existing private water company that had taken ownership and undertaken upgrades, but he did not provide detailed confirmation of infrastructure capacity.

No formal action was taken on the mapping matter at the March 13 meeting; staff said further coordination with the state and affected towns is required to integrate the new school district code and finalize parcel records.
