Senate panel unanimously backs increase to student indemnification threshold

Sen. Angie Taylor, chair of the Senate Committee on Education, called a work session to order in Carson City and presented Assembly Bill 164, saying the measure increases the account balance amount for student indemnification above which postsecondary institutions licensed by the Commission on Postsecondary Education are not required to pay certain quarterly fees.
