Legislator seeks clear pay‑stub code keys to prevent errors and hidden underpayments

Representative Liz Linehan told the Labor and Public Employees Committee that she worked directly with affected workers from multiple Connecticut communities who reported confusing pay‑stub codes and missing differentials. She described a situation at a third‑party food service vendor where employees’ December 2024 pay detail reports showed codes such as “AE” (arrived early) and “LL” (left late) that were not explained in plain language and where some differentials, overtime and paid time off were unpaid for at least three months.
