The City Plan Commission adopted a zoning code amendment June 12 to add a Neighborhood Forest Overlay (NFO) process to the city's development code. The amendment allows residential neighborhoods (single‑family and duplex areas generally under two acres) to petition for a neighborhood forest overlay to manage and protect canopy and community trees.
