After an executive session on May 20, the Heath Municipal Board of Commissioners and Economic Development Corporation approved two resolutions related to real property acquisitions.
Douglas Barkley moved to approve a resolution authorizing and approving a real estate sales contract and authorizing the president of the AGDC to execute the contract and all closing documents for the acquisition of "approximately 21.3962 acres of land in the E Teal survey, abstract number 207, City of Heath, Rockwall County, Texas," on the terms discussed in executive session. Mr. Hunter seconded the motion. The chair called for a voice vote; those in favor said "aye" and the chair declared the motion approved.
Separately, the board approved a resolution authorizing the Heath Economic Development Corporation to execute a real estate sales contract for the acquisition of approximately 2.8575 acres of land for a purchase price of $1,450,000.00. The motion was made and seconded (the transcript records a second attributed to Mike Zelenskis). The motion passed on a voice vote.
Both items were discussed in closed session under the Texas Government Code. No individual roll-call vote counts were recorded in the public meeting transcript; the minutes record voice approvals following each motion.
