During the June 9 meeting the Linn County Board of Commissioners opened three bids for roofing work at the courthouse.
County staff read the bids on the record. DHI Roofing of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, submitted a bid of $582,101.99. Stanfield Roofing of El Dorado, Kansas, submitted a bid of $35,248.78 described in the record as for repair. A third offer from World Premier KC Building Services proposed coordinating with the county’s insurance and indicated the county’s only cash commitment would be a $10,000 deductible; other funds would be handled between the vendor and the county’s insurer.
No award motion was recorded at the meeting. Commissioners and staff noted the published bid deadline had been extended by a week during the solicitation process. Staff said they would return to the board with a recommendation once bids were reviewed and any insurance coordination clarified.
The reading of bids was procedural; no contract was awarded during the meeting.
